The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) has now approved a new Chief Executive in the shape of Geoff Holden, a highly qualified expert with over thirty years experience in the heavy lifting gear and overhead lifting industry. Holden has just spent the previous six months as Chief Executive designate for the LEEA and is best placed to take on this challenging position at the LEEA.
Holden's perspective for the forth coming year is positive but he is also very aware of the tough economic climate and the difficult times the industry is likely to take through the present recession. The LEEA will be looking closely at support during the coming year to keep happy its ever expanding membership base. In general the heavy lifting industry is lucky in some areas that bigger projects are continuing to be processed due to budgets already agreed and assigned whilst the smaller to medium sized companies are going to feel the squeeze along with their counterpart industries.
With over two hundred and fifty companies across the globe on its membership database the LEEA is becoming an international authority resource in the heavy lifting industry. Holden is also keen to nurture this increasing overseas support and membership interest.
Whilst Hoden takes up his new position formally with the LEEA, many are now saying good bye to the outgoing CEO Derrick Bailes who will be staying with LEEA in a technical advice role for the heavy lifting industry.
