The Construction Health and Safety Conference will take place on the 15 May at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham; this one day event will focus heavily on how to help reduce the number of work related injuries and deaths within the construction industry.

It has been revealed through ROSPA figures that 77 people were killed in this arena during 2006/2007 and 37 in the housing construction industry alone. Employing over two million people this area of employment also attracts an extremely high volume of work related accident injury claims and absence from work statistics which could easily be improved with better education administration from industry managers.

Organisers believe that statistics could be drastically improved if unity and common goals were adopted by different parts of the sector came together more often.
