Postal Changes have Little Effect
Despite the hype and the expectation of great change within the postal system there appear to have been little if any improvements

An independent review has reported that there has been "no significant benefits" for domestic households or small businesses. This comes as a massive disappointment following years of build up to an expected revolution within the postal industry.

There have been some winners in the liberalisation of the postal service and it comes as no surprise to know that it has been the bigger companies who ultimately have the power to demand better deals from the eager private services.

The full independent report will not be completed and available for a few months but the indication is quite simple, the current system is wholly untenable and unless improvements are made there will have been no apparent changes to the system that was originally in need of severe change.

Regulators Postcomm have announced that fundamental changes need to come quickly.

Royal Mail have found it difficult to make a success the small business and domestic sector whilst the lucrative bulk systems have been carved up by the private sector keen to cash in on the act.

There are now nineteen mail services registered to deliver mail in the UK and time is very much running out on effective and efficient systems being put in place.
