Specialist Engineering Affected by Recession

As the recession starts to kick in throughout the United Kingdom even specialists such as precision engineering companies are affected. There is an inevitable kickback during recession that filters through all types of industry even the niche specialists such as precision engineers are affected by the economic down turn.

Its not just retail and general manufacturing that are hit by the recession it is also the very specialist industries who would normally shine through tough trading situations who re feeling the pinch too. Many companies care taking advance precautions to the down turn by slowing down productions and taking in longer breaks during the Christmas period.

One company we spoke to who specialise in precision lathes and creepfeed grinders were positive that the position of the world economy would improve but it would just take time but the trouble would be who will be strong enough to survive. Losing general manufacturing companies is one thing but when high tech and specialist companies are affected then there is a real danger of business and skills moving out of the country.
