Finnish flat Steel company SteelTeam have just signed up to a new service agreement with lifting gear giants Konecranes.

SteelTeam was established in 1987 and originally setup to provide hedge-portfolio services in the area and was very active in providing steel brokerage services for businesses in Finland and the former Soviet Union. Moving on from that period the company has since developed extensively through Europe and the north European states providing an extensive variety of steel activities and flat steel services.

As part of its development in 2007 SteelTeam invested extensively in the development of the worlds largest flat steel service centres which went into full operation in late 2008.

The Uusikaupunski flat steel service centre will become a fundamental sector of the new service agreement with Konecranes who will be making use of sourcing and pre-manufactured steel services from the company.

The financial scale of the agreement is unknown but the creation of the deal with further help to for fill SteelTeam's target to be the largest flat steel provider in Europe.
